On new year’s eve 1998, Thursday January 1st 1998 Yael Meivar-Doktori went back to her house with her husband Yoram. On their way terrorists open fire from an ambush. Yael was badly wounded and died in the hospital after five days.
Yael was 25 years old.
Yael’s mother Naomi, communicated with Yael after she died and together they wrote an extraordinary book that describes those five days since the moment the phone rang with the horrible news till after Yael funeral. The book catches the reader and describes clearly Yael to those who didn’t know her.
