On Thursday, August 20th 1998 Rabbi Shlomo Raanan was murdered by a terrorist who broke into the family house in Tel-Rumeida in Hebron. The terrorist broke into the Raanan family Caravan, stabbed Rabbi Shlomo, set fire to the Caravan and escaped. The Rabbi’s wife who was next door wasn’t hurt.
Rabbi Shlomo Raanan was 63 years old.
