On Thursday February 1st, 2001 Dr. Shmuel Gilis was on his way back from his work in the “Hadasa” hospital in Jerusalem to his home in Karmei-Zur, going on Gush Ezion Hebron road near El Arob, Terrorists in overtaking vehicle opened fire killing Dr. Gilis.
Dr. Gilis was 41 years old.
On 2014 an memorial evening was held for the publication of a book in Dr. Gilis memory. the evening was recorded and the link below will show that movie (In Hebrew)
