On Wednesday night, February 6th, 2002, a Palestinian terrorist came into Moshav Hamra dressed as an IDF soldier. He met Moshe Mekonan, a reserve soldier, and killed him.

Then he continued into the Moshav shooting at random. Local people started chasing him, and the terrorist entered the Ohana family house. He shot 11-year-old Yael Ochana and her mother Miri, 45.

IDF forces that came to the Moshav broke into the house and killed the terrorist.
