On Monday March 19th, 2001, Baruch Cohen, 58 years old, drove from Efrat where he lived to Jerusalem.
Near Neve Daniel, terrorists in overtaking vehicle opened fire, 15 bullets hit Baruch’s car, 5 hit Baruch himself.

 

Baruch was badly injured in the head and died on spot.

On the thirtieth day of his death a hall was dedicated to his name in the synagogue he used to pray “Ohel Shimon and Ester”

In Efrat a memorial garden was built in Baruch's memory.
