On Tuesday, August 21st 1951, terrorists that came from Jordan ambushed a jeep of the department of public works in Wadi Husub near Sodom.
From the shooting two of the passengers were killed, Moshe Loniger, 24 years old and Arie Shteinlauf, 37.
A monument in their memory was erected near the road going down from Sodom not far before the Arava junction.
