On June 15th, 2002, in the morning, a warning came that terrorists are planning an attack against soldiers or settlers in the northern part of Gaza Strip.
A group of soldiers went out for a patrol. Just before 8 pm , few hundreds meters from the settlements of Doogit and Elei Sinai, the soldiers identified the Hamas terrorists and engaged in fire, during the short battle, Alex Glodkov, 20 years old and Hezki Gutman, 21 years old were killed. Anatoly Kersik was wounded and died a week later.
Three others were wounded.
The memorial site is located near Kibbutz Mefalsim.
