On January 17th, 2016, a Palestinian terrorist entered into Otniel, a settlement in Hebron area, he spotted Daphna Meir, 39, in the entrance to her home, he stabbed her and she fought back so he wouldn’t be able to enter the house, by that she saved the lives of her children who were in the house at that time.
A neighboring settlement Kefar Eldad announced that the new neighborhood being built will be named “Alei Daphna” to commemorate Daphna Meir.
