On April 15 2015, Shoa memorial day, Shalom Sherki, 26 years old, and his friend Shira were waiting in a bus stop in the French neighborhood in Jerusalem, a Palestinian terrorist turned his car towards them and ran over them wounding both, Shalom died later in the hospital.
The Municipal memorial plaque is at the place of attack.
In his memory the family also built the “Shalom Yochai House” center for Jewish studies led by Shalom father Rabbi Uri Sherki.
