On Wednesday, February 27, 2008, in the afternoon, Roni Yehaya, 47, finished studying and was on his way to his car parked in the parking lot of Sapir College when an alarm sounded due to Qassam rocket fire from the Gaza Strip. Immediately afterward, the rocket landed and exploded a few meters from Roni, who was critically wounded by shrapnel in his heart.
