On Monday March 7th 1988 around noon, three terrorists penetrated through the Egypt border, the terrorists hijacked a military vehicle and reached the Aroar junction on the road from Beer Sheva to Dimona. In the junction they took over a bus driving workers to Dimona. During the event and the security forces attempt to rescue the hostages three passengers died.

The bus was known as the “Mothers bus”.
The three killed were: Victor Ram 39 years old, Miriyam Ben Yair 46 and Rina Sharetzki 30.

 

In the Nuclear research institute a monument was erected in memory of the three.

Their coworkers created personal commemorations in their work place.
