Attack's place

On August 23rd 1950, Tamar Oren, 19 years old, went out on a walk with her boyfriend Binyamin. After midnight they were sitting on a small hill near the orchard and Binyamin asked Tamar to marry him. At the same time terrorists that came over the border from Jordan opened fire on the two, wounding Binyamin and killing Tamar.

Tamar is also commemorated in the central memorial site of Moshav Yarkona.
