On Friday June 17th 1949, two guards Yeshayahu Farkash and Asher Grosman went out to watch the water wells in the Rehovot area. At that time after the independence war many Terrorists tried to penetrate the south part of Israel to rob and kill. Such a terrorist group arrived at the water well and shot the two guards. Asher was killed and Yeshayahu was badly wounded and died on the way to the hospital.
Yeshayahu was 40 years old.
