On Tuesday, July 13th, 1948, Egyptian planes bombarded Tel Aviv. Twenty people were killed, among them 9-year-old Shabtai Mizrachi. He was hit while in the school playground.
His brother Moshe Mizrachi, now a famous film director, made a movie about his young brother, which was nominated for an Oscar in the best foreign film category.
