On Thursday, September 11th, 1937, four guys, escorted by a guard carrying a rifle went for foresting and paving work on JNF lands, preparing yet a new settlement that was intended to be built. The five arrived at the “wind mountain”, 5 kilometer from Kiriyat Anavim and started unloading their tools.
The five were attacked from an ambush by a gang of Arabs who opened fire and shot the five.
All five were killed on spot.
Years later a Kibbutz was built in their name “Maale Hachamisha”.
