On July, 27th, 1955, El Al flight went from London through Paris and Vienna to Lod airport (now Ben Gurion airport), the plane Lockheed constellation was a regular civilian flight. North of the city of Petrich in Bulgaria the plane was shot down, later discovered it was shot down accidently by Bulgarian military airplane. All 58 passengers died.
