On November 22nd, 1913, Moshe Berski volunteered to go to Menachamia to bring medicine to Shmuel Dayan who was sick. On his way back he was ambushed by a group of Bedouin who wanted to still his mule. He released the mule so it will run back to Degania and struggled with the attackers.
He was buried in the Olive orchard where he worked on the bank of the Jordan river.
