Aharon Amir, 49 years old lived in Kiron and volunteered to help in the guard duties at Kibbutz Ashdot Yaakov who was under attack by terrorists coming from Jordan.

On Saturday April 18th, 1970, a soldier standing watch at the Kibbutz gate mistakenly identified Ahaorn and his frind who were on patrol as terrorists and shot them.
Aharon was killed and his friend was wounded.
