On Sunday evening, August 6th, 2006, during the second lebanon war, Roni Rubinski, 30 years old worked in Haifa port at the evening shift.

Around Seven a friend wanted to leave and asked Roni to replace him. At Eight the sirens went on and missiles were fired from Lebanon to Haifa.
Roni ran to alarm his coworkers and then turned to the shelter, before he got there a missile exploded a few feet from Roni.


Roni was killed on spot.

Haifa Port, Roni's employer, his coworkers and his family built a memorial monument inside the Haifa port. the Monument was revealed on August 2007.
