On August 6th, 2006, Second Lebanon war, a group of reserve soldiers waited in a parking lot near the entrance to Kefar Giladi and near the settlement cematary. They waited to be called to enter Lebanon. A missile fired from Lebanon fell in the parking lot nearby to the group killing twelve and wounding many others.
At the place where the twelve fell a monument was erected, a cairn was created for every one of the twelve with his picture on top.
